App.Ease is a mobile application aimed towards individuals who fall under autism spectrum disorder1 (ASD) level 1, also known as Asperger’s syndrome.



Challenge
Regarding the topic of inclusivity, the main issues individuals with ASD level 1 face are operating in social environments and overstimulation, both online and offline. App.Ease aims to tackle these problems through:
1- A social platform designed around the needs of individuals with ASD level 1, rather than neurotypical standards.
2- A Calm Down Room’ that offers the user a mental escape when they feel overwhelmed by online or offline stimuli.
3- A conversational agent (chatbot) that helps the user manage their own feelings along with anxiety that may occur through social interaction.
Results
By combining these services App.Ease creates a safe, comfortable environment that users can navigate without worrying about social misunderstandings and overstimulation.

Research & Analysis: We conducted user interviews and surveys. We also studied competitor apps and industry trends to gather insights.
Information Architecture: Based on the research findings, we restructured the app's navigation and content, prioritizing features and information according to user needs.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the new layout and navigation, iteratively refining them based on user feedback. Afterward, I built a high-fidelity, interactive prototype to test the design.
Visual Design & Style Guide: Developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. Also created a style guide to maintain design consistency in future updates.
